SITE PLANNING

The Timbers Club
The site plan concept for The Timbers Club includes the location of the Club Building at the bottom of Assay Hill in the Snowmass Village Ski Resort.  This Club location offers great opportunities for skier access through outdoor plazas and walkways and from the Club Building itself.  The Timbers Club site is organized around a pedestrian spine that leads all residential guests to the Club and ski facilities.  The pedestrian spine doubles as vehicular access to town home units and access for emergency vehicles into this village.  The vehicular drop off at the Club climbs from Faraway Road to the ‘porte cochere’ and the majority of parking lies below the plaza in a structured parking garage.  On site affordable housing is designed into this project with pedestrian access to the Timbers Club and ski lift for employees.  The Land Studio provided site planning and landscape architectural services for this project.

Basalt Regional Library

This new facility offers new technologies and services such as self check out stations, more and newer computers for public use, 4 quiet study rooms, many comfortable seating areas, separate spacious sections for children and teens, one small meeting room and one large community room to be used by other community members as well as for library programs. The new building will give the library's collection of books, audio books, DVDs and other materials plenty of room to grow. The library's staff will also be growing to provide increased programming and other services for the public. Plans for the new building are as cost effective and environmentally friendly as possible. Expectations are that the new facility will be LEED silver certified. The Land Studio provided site planning and landscape architectural services for this project.
